    This Lunch and Learn focuses on patients who choose not to follow recommended medical treatment.

    When a patient refuses medical treatment, the medical professional may feel frustrated, disrespected and angry towards the patient, which creates difficulties for both parties involved.

    Program Objectives:

    This webinar will educate medical professionals about shared decision making with the patient who is resistant.
    We will discuss communication skills to assist in the shared decision-making process with a reluctant patient.
    Finally, we will discuss understanding how to accept a patient’s refusal for medical treatment and learn how to acknowledge and agree to a treatment plan, which will be mutually satisfactory to both parties.
